Open an app that's locked and you won't get an error or a lecture. You see a calm screen with that app's name and a full stop. With your own note if you like, such as Reading tonight.
Tap Never mind and you're back where you were. That counts as not opened. That's all there is to it, and that's the point.

A moment is a set time when your socials lock by themselves. Even with the app closed, after a restart and in Low Power Mode.
Give each moment a name, the days you want and a note to self that shows on the lock. When two run at once, the lock lasts until the last one ends and the strictest one wins.

The big red dot is the heart of the app. Pick how long, hold the dot for one second and your socials are locked. Let go too early and nothing happens.
Changed your mind? You have five seconds to undo it. On iPhone you can also lock from Control Center or the Action button (iOS 18 and later). On Android, tap the tile in Quick Settings.
Gentle or strict
You choose how firm the lock is.
Every moment and every Lock now is gentle or strict. Gentle is the default. Strict is for the evenings you don't trust yourself.

Want a quick look anyway? Breathe first. The first breather of the day takes 10 seconds, and each one after that, that day, takes twice as long, up to 80 seconds. Then you get 5 minutes and the lock closes by itself.
Strict.
No breather, no back door in the app. A strict lock runs to its end.
The only way to stop early is The Key: a barcode somewhere else in your home. You'll have to get up.

Strict? Your key is in the kitchen.
Pick a barcode or QR code somewhere else in your home: a book on the shelf, the box of your headphones, a bag of coffee. To end a strict lock early, you walk there and scan it.

Yes, you can always switch the lock off, in your phone's settings. Or delete the app. We'd rather tell you ourselves than have you read it in a review.
The lock is there to remind you, not to punish you. We made it pleasant enough that you won't want to switch it off. On Android the lock appears within a second of opening an app.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. On iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later and on Android phones with Android 10 or later. Not on iPad or Mac.
Which apps can I lock?
Any apps you like. On iPhone you pick them in Apple's list, with the category for social networks in one tap. On Android, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, X, Reddit, YouTube and the other usual ones are ticked already if you have them.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account, no email and no password. You open the app and start.
Can I still switch the lock off?
Yes, always, in your phone's settings. It's a kind lock, not a vault. The exact steps are on the Support page.
Is this parental control?
No. Everyone locks their own socials on their own phone. With Family Sharing or Family Library you do buy it once for the whole family.
Does it work on two phones?
Your purchase covers all your iPhones on the same Apple Account, or all your Android phones on the same Google account. There's no sync: every phone has its own moments.
